The wheels that I ordered have optional center caps that are plastic. Have any of you heard of plastic center caps before? I assumed that all center caps are metal or alloy.

I'm trying to justify spending $170 on plastic center caps.

my stock "A" on my Acura rims was a plastic piece with shiny silver sticker on it

my stellar rims normally have plastic center caps but i'm sporting the cheap look in not having them

believe me fellas...this time there is no BS.

the whole line of this wheel doesn't come with center caps.....only a few wheels from this manufacturer come with center caps.

it looks like i'll be forking over the $170 for the caps.

My 5 Zigen N1R Q.F have plastic center caps as well..

You wold never know unless I told ya.

Mugen center caps are alloy I beleive..

Even the SiR rims don't come with the center caps. And the center caps are plastic. They cost about $28.00 ea.

$170.00 for center caps is freaking mad.

Yup, most OEM Honda/Acura rims use plastic centre caps. BTW, last time I checked the Acura ones for GSR and EL rims were $50 EACH from Acura.

most of the rims I've owned all had plastic caps.
They look aluminum because of the paint or a thin sheet that just covers the front.
Even when I had my 5 Zigen Rims the Caps were plastic!
When I bought my Rota's the caps were optional as well.
In my opinion its not worth it. It only costs at most 20 a set to make.... if they fit just find a set of SiR or Acura caps used and paint them.
