Performance suspension

Hey. I was wondering if any one could post a list of items needed to beef up the bottom of my car, like the suspension and brakes, i am putting a big engine in it and i want the handeling and stopping up to par with the engine. What all would i need to have a great handeling car, and what would i have to do to install big disc brakes on a 4dr civic SE

Pick up a set of progress full coilovers, a big brake kit and maybe some swap bars and you will be more than happy.

There are many suspension parts to beef up your car with. Springs or coilovers, struts, sway bars, camber kit, lower tie bars, strut tower braces, poly bushings, etc.

Big brake kits are nice and easier on the pocket when OEM calipers are retained. I found that a stainless steel brake line kit gives a better, stiffer pedal feel and also prevents expansion under extreme temps, which is a common problem with the rubber hoses the ss lines replace. Switching to a high temp (eg. DOT 4) brake fluid is also a good idea when upgrading your braking system. Biggest bang for your buck are drilled and/or slotted rotors with some high performance pads. Also, consider using OEM parts, like GSR brakes on your Civic. Converting to rear disc is a nice too.
