Performance Help
i dont really know that much about performance parts...but i was wondering what i could do to my car to give it a little more kick....the only thing i have right now is an AEM V2 intake....i know tha most people recommend intake/headers/exhaust but i dont want to get a catback because i dont want a ricey sound....
-if i buy just headers and use my stock exhaust pipes would that be bad???
and DO headers really make a difference?

Im running a cat back you dont neccisarily have to have a Ricey Sound.
DC GSR headers (POS headers llol)
Magnaflow HighFlow Cat
Greddy Twin Resonators
Magnaflo Rear Section
only time my car gets loud is in VTEC and thats from the intake screaming.
And yes headers do make a difference. It would be hard to say in your case though... are you running just a stock motor.?

Actually look for k series haha. then u will be smoking every 1. Even the zc DOHC is pretty fast on a hb. U will be laughing or even a b18. Just beat this engine until it goes and swap it then. Dun spend anymore $$$ on those d series SOHC engine. Go with DOHC engine.

Get a performance clutch with a lightweight flywheel, you'll notice better response or "kick" and it will be slightly quicker....also you can do what everybody else has been saying...(I/H/E) but you sacrifice lowend power.
Or, if you have the money.....stuff a turbo under the hood...

B16s are a good "starter swap". Meaning that your car will be faster than with the SOHC, but you will grow bored of it quickly. So you can swap out the bottom end for something bigger (when funds permit). Not everyone can afford to drop $4500 for an ITR swap right away.
