pennzoil oil...
wondering how good is this oil. I usually use quaker state 5w30 and do the change myself. Just that pennzoil oil seems cheaper at some shops and wondering if it is good to use. This is just for normal drving.

wouldn't quaker state be alittle better since it's alittle more expensive and I hear it mroe often??? I know price doesn't always determone quality but I'm thinking pennnzoil 5w30 is the same as motomaster 5w30 cause they cost the same? or anything other than canadian tire stuff is better?

I know I'll get ragged on for this, but synthetics are too expensive and conventional makes me nervous so I get the best of both world with synthetic blends (castrol). It gives me piece of mind, while makeing my wallet thcker at the same time.
Thats just me.

most of you guys will do JUST fine with pretty much any of those oils and those filters as long as you change it as required!
Your not running crazy tuned motors here.. I've seen a G2 teg drive around for days with like 1/4 litre of oil in -10+ Celcius temps and still be fine after that.. these damn motors can take quite a bit of hell. Doesn't really matter which one of those 2 is better, they are basically the same! You sure as hell will never see the difference..
Redlining a few times is probably a lot worse than putting regular oil in your car over it's lifetime..
Most of these products are all the same.. MASS PRODUCTION! One manufacturer and multiple dristributors who put their own names.
My first 91 SI, had 170K on it.. I put the same 10W30 Quaker state all year round with motomaster filters.. Drove the hell out of it delivering pizzas, driving hard and fast.. Motor was still STRONG at 310KM after 1 1/2 years.. trust me you don't need to be so specific with this crap unless you plan on redlining all the damn time or your running a built motor that requires specific oil types.
