past e-test no problem
well i had the plates swapped off of my car 2 weeks ago and went to go buy plates to swap back on to it btu found out even if the owner stays the same you still nedd an e-test when evr you replace the plates.
well just the last little while my car has been idleing funny so i changed the plugs, wires and cleaned the cap up. well that was good for 4-6 days and it stared doing it again. so by now i find out i need the e-test and am panicing cause i dont know whats wrong. checked the plugs and they were fine , changed the dizzy cap and thats good and then threw on the old wires and was better again. but still after driving for awhile and the car got warmer it would idle funny again , so then i checked for engine codes and i was getting code 20 (electric load detector). talk to a buddy of mine and he asked what ecu i had. i told him a pm6 (88) and i have a 91 car. he said theres something with the 88-89 and 90-91's which are different capability with the fuse panel under the hood (far left, closest to firewall). so i found a 90 pm6 ecu from a buddy swapped it and no more engine codes or problems.
so no was the big part hoping it wouldn't bugger up on the e-test dynometer (previous owners past no problems but i did mpfi swap) i ran it and she past with no problems, i was soooooo happy cause i was getting depressed about the idleing problem.
just thought i'd share my glory today with you all

change your spark plugs, clean you dizzy cap and rotor conneections, and do a quick oil change. take it for a nice run and leave it running out side about 15 mins before they pull it in.
really only thing i know of, also a wise idea to chechk to see if your getting any engine codes like maybe you'll actually end up needing a 02 sensor and your throwing the code but you dont know cause you never checked then you just wasted $30 and gotta spend another $15 to retest it. saves you from wasting time and money.
