P72 oil pan
 
sorry guys....I have searched the net and i cant find out this question (too cheap to buy manual) what is the oil compacity of a p72 oil pan? i have put 3.5-4 litres of oil in it and i am still not showing on the dipstick.....I am thinking i have the wrong dipstick!

You very well might have the wrong dipstick. Typical oil and filter change is 4.5L

This is from the 1998 Factory Service Manual:

B18C1/B18C5-
4.8l for eng overhaul
4.0l for oil change, incl filter
3.7l for oil change, w/o filter

you could have the wrong dipstick. I almost mixed mine up myself. A D and B dipstick look identicle but one's longer. I think the d one is longer but dont' quote me on that. I remember I had to change them from one of my spare's cause it was rubbin on the trailer i was moving it on.
