unfortunately maintenance or not won't help you on this one, EVAP systems just seem to be prone to lots of issues. Where it used to be more common with Honda that if it happened to this car, then any other Honda of the same model, with the same symptom will likely have the same problem. That is no longer the case. Really this is one if you don't have the right tools you'll just be throwing parts at the car. You need to dig a little deeper into the daig then just the code, you'll have to check the EVAP system components, one of the solenoids could be sticking, the EVAP canister, or even a line in the fuel system or tank, though those are less likely they are still a possibility. You need to have access to Honda's HDS, maybe a better after market scan tool like Snap-on's Vantage can do this but basically you should start with clearing the code, run an EVAP system check, if the code returns, you need to do an actuation test and turn on the related valves etc and check for power/listen for the click of the valve, if everything checks out last I would say get a smoke machine and use that to inject "smoke" into the system and watch for wear it comes out. This would of course be the leak but the first stuff your checking because on a car like yours I doubt you have a leak created by a line rotting out or something to that effect, but more likely a internal leak caused by a sticking solenoid.

Which one is hard to say and would only be a guess, usually on Honda's in my experience it's the purge solenoid, but I have seen the others be the cause many times as well.

I know this doesn't really help you fix the car but should give you an idea of what a tech should be doing, for the most part that is.
