P1259 VTEC malfunction
 

Okay, so i get home one night... after ALOT of MAD VTECing. I wake up and go start my car.. and my CEL is on, today i ran it through a scanner and i get a P1259 VTEC system malfunction code...
anyone know how i can fix this? funny thing is.. my VTEC still kicks in when im driving it now... i read it could be a oil pressure problem.. but how do i check that?

might be the vtec pressure switch, or the vtec solenoid valve

reset the code and drive the car through a few cycles of vtec to see if it returns. if it does. then have the vtec pressure switch and vtec solenoid valve checked out.

im just tryin to figure out why my vtec still works if the code is a vtec system malfunction..

anyone? i really dont wanna spend a fortune takin the car to honda haha

don't take it to honda.
take it to doug at leading eadge and get him to have a look at it

he doesnt charge you to diagnose and his labour rates are reasonable

where is he located? and did hdave call you yet?

ya he called me, i was already at his house when u called (we ate fajitas, lol). we were compression testing my motor and we got hungry so u know...

doug is located at highway 7 + whitmore (close to weston) in woodbridge.

harsh says to leave quick things, he seems to be getting impatient, lol

yea ill probably stop by newmans then since no one here seems to know anything about this issue.. guy u heard me ripping it down 27 last night... sounds fine and runs fine.. u thought i had a exhaust hahah.. all motor guy

i was at leading edge today and doug is absolutely up to his neck in work. if you want to see him, best time is monday morning he said. just call before you go.
