Overheating?

Overheating?
I've just noticed that when I go over 4k rpm my temp guage goes up a little bit; at the same time the dash lights and headlights brighten up even more. I've replaced the rad in july and there's no leaks. I've also changed my alternator just a few weeks ago. Any ideas?

Did you by any chance buy the new alternator from Canadian Tire or Parts Source? I bought a new alternator there 3 years ago and have had to replcae my alternator about once a year since (all under warranty). The first 2 just stopped producing power. The last one the voltage regulator went on it. So everytime I reved the engine over the idle RPM I got 18 volts at the battery. (I don't know if the alternators from Canadian Tire are crap or there is something wrong with my car causing the alternator to die all the time)
Anyways
Rev the engine to 4k RPM+ and check the voltage at the battery, if it's over 14V the voltage regulator in the alternator is probably shot. The temp guage on my car was acting weird when the voltage regulator went on my car.

Unfortunately, I did get it from crappy tire. it was a sunday and I really needed to get my car on the road. My friend put it in for me and I started to blame him, but another alternator already died on me. I'm on my second alternator in 3 weeks. ****!
