Opinions... ( debate ) Spark plugs

Ok, i know most of you are pissing on me b/c i threw Champions in my EM1.

they work great...... i got the right ones when i looked them up in the book....

but let me ask you...

isnt a spark plus a spark plug..????

they do the same thing........
unless running NOS, then u need Cold Plugs.......

i know the Honda Manual offers or states that i should use NGK or DENSO...

but tell me why... i should change... money aint a thing...
but whats the diff....

my car definately pulls better with the new plugs...
unless you running a MSD igniton id understand...

no flames...
whats your input...

better plug offers better spark, larger spark. Hence improving the idle and how smooth the car operates. Also improves combustion. Same as adding bigger wires. If you cheap out on plugs your cheaping out on a very important part of the combustion process.

Plus it's pretty cheap for a four banger anyways. Canadian tire cheapo plugs 6 bux......pretty decent plugs are like 20-30 bux so for like 14 dollars more for a 2 pack your car is gonna run way better.

i personally wouldn't go heavily agains what honda says...
plugs are one thing i wouldn't go against because if you have an engine that will rev higher than the plug can handle... your not going to last long

NGK-R for me

a spark plug is a spark plug pending you have stock engine... you gain hardly anything using platnum or iridium... so your way better off buying ngk coppers and just change them more so throughout the year so you always got nice plugs in there

for me I ahve run alot of plugs in my race bikes (2 stroke) which is the hardest testing ground for a plug..and ngk r's always came out on top with performance and resistance to fouling...I will never run anything else but ngk r's

A good plug will use better materials in it's composition..so...

I just changed all my plugs today for the copper core NGK's. By tomorrow, I will officially know if they perform any better.
Plugs are soo cheap anyway, it should be a no-brainer.

well if you think about it if you use the copper ngk plugs you can change them 3 or 4 times a year and be cheaper then getting the bling bling plugs...

if money isn't an issue
then why would you even risk putting something into your car that isn't recomended
i'd put what honda says to, unless its actualy better then whats reccomended

what has your car ever done to you?

Still, there are numerous NGK types. Anyone have any experience with their V copper core?

Dumb question, do they need gapping? I'm detonating a bit and I can only attribute that to the recent plug swap last weekend.

i believe as long as it matches your vehicle identification,, it should be OK.

every will always have there own opinion...

Coke or Pepsi
you know????

if your car runs strong.. it will be fine.....
my Champions runs stronger now thats b/c my NGK's were shot!
but when i bought it, i made sure the Champions were for my car

i prefer efficiency over longevity... everyone whom knows metals, knows COPPER IS THE BEST CONDUCTOR, which i why 90% of wires are coppper, what does that mean? a spark plug is basically lots of electricity, and if it travels with least resistance through copper then why bother with teh "platinum" or "Iridium" plugs???? they are way more expensive. so they last 2x longer but why sacrifice spark???? stay with what the manufacturer reccommends... there is a reason they chose those plugs...

I've always used NGK, right now i'm running 2step colder... but if your car's pretty much stock, then I wouldn't worry about plug choice, no big diff
