Omnipowers!!!

ok so me and abuddy both just bought a set of street omni power coilvers. ek and del sol.
we both have bottomed out the coilover. it won't go any lower... and our tires are barely tucked...
i was hoping for my car to be a go cart. it is a definite improvement from stock. but i just am not sure if it is what i'm looking for....
anyone else have any thoughts on omnipowers? or offers to buy them?

i have the omnis in my EK hatch and it is really low. the ride is stiff but not as harsh as i thought it would be. I wouldnt want the car to feel like a go kart.... that would just get annoying...

i really like the omnis...

Im not here to get into an argument, but after seeing where the omin's cracked, this isnt some kinda of fluke , its poor design , However the new Omnis appearntly are redisgned.

Get a racing seat and sway bars and it will feel like a go kart.

I think OMNI power is great bang for the buck and they addressed the lower collar issue a long time ago.

they have a recall on the older collars that were cracking.. the replacement and the new ones have thicker collars..

honestly, im not too happy with my set ... in less than a year my rear passenger shock blew and because i didnt have time to replace it (seeing as how i need my car daily), it eventually ruined my trailing arm ... its super stiff and i feel everything, even if i run over a penny ... lol ...

I like Omni stuff. While they had some issues at first, they worked it out and took care of their customers.

as for dalinkwent, I suspect you are talking about the sleeves, which IMO are no good for stock shocks.

ya i have heard off the lower collars cracking but omni would cover the price off new parts, and that the issue has been fixed and i see they now have a new design

it's good the problem on the omnipowers has been addressed but my buddy's omni's broke and after seeing that I don't care whether or not they've addressed the problems, it tells u alot about how cheap the **** is.

Street vs Sport

Maybe if you wanted a more hardcore ride you should have went with the Sport version with the higher spring rate.

Also, Omnipower full coilovers are suppose to be able to be raised or lowered 4". That's not enough for you? If you lowered your car 4" it would be pretty slammed.

pics will be up soon... the coilovers are slammmmmmed. they don't go any lower. and i know i should have gone with the sport... but i was talked out of it because it would be too ridiculous for a street car.

I have the full coilovers and I think there great. I originaly had some crappy sleve lowering my car and compared to those omni feels like heaven.
