KEEP THIS THREAD ABOUT OMNI POWER, NOT YOUR QUESTIONS ABOUT WHETHER YOU NEED A CAMBER KIT OR NOT.

Well, it seems that Omni Power suspension products are being installed on many of the rides on TCC. However, I have yet to see much feedback from everyone.

So, I figured a thread could be used to get some responses and inform other buyers of your experiences.

Something like this...

I left out rear shims cus they're simple.

Anyway, all feedback would be appreciated by myself and many others, I'm sure.

LCA: Ive got them, only benefit so far is the hole for a sway bar, and is the reason why i got them. Also they are alittle lights than stock but alot thicker. They are a stock replacement and went in without any problems.

I bought the Omni-Power front camber kit for EK, and the quality and finish is superb! Even the guys that installed my camber kit were really impressed with the quality and price for the camber kit! Omni-Power gets 2 thumbs up from me! Thanks John!

how much was ur ek dumped so that you had to get that camber kit?

2.25" in the front and 2" in the rear.

I was gonna purchase the Skunk camber kit but was told that it was exactly the same as the Omni camber kit, you just save a few bucks. I was skeptical so the vendor showed both of them to me to do a comparison and he was right.

He then told me how an employee of Skunk left the company and and put the same ideas into a new company he formed, Omni-power.

I have no problem with the Omni-power camber kit and would recommend it to anyone to save a few bucks over Ingalls.

has anyone done teh installation themselves? i'm looking at getting the front camber kit and an adjustable rear kit, and curious about installation and adjustment difficulty

I don't think the installations would be difficult, but maybe the disassembly of the old stuff on there might be. I'm trying to think if you would need to remove the shock in order to take the control arm off...I think the answer is yes.

It wouldn't be complicated, but it would be tough to get the old rusty bolts loose if they've never been touched.

coilovers: (street set-up) been running on them since september 2004.. ran them through winter... and up to this day, they still amaze me and the ride is perfect for toronto roads...i would definetly recommend these to everyone!

Thats the key to a proper supension setup. Other setups are great/ even better if you drive on smooth ashphault everyday. Realistically you gotta consider your road conditions before choosing a setup:thumbup: Ive heard from others it can take the abuse.

I was about to bump this thread to see if anyone has any input about the coils.

This is exactly what I wanted to hear. Anybody else running these?

My 2 two cents...

I picked up a set of EK Street full coilovers from John Lo to go on my 2000 EL. The previous set-up had been a Ground Control knockoff on stock struts (not a bad ride considering what I paid).

I installed them last Friday at a friend's shop. All in all, the install took around two hours (broke a bolt on the front passenger strut wishbone). Very simple directions to follow. The height adjustment took up most of the time. Even though I measured them against my stock components, it takes a try or two to get it set up exactly the way that you want it.

When I pulled out of the shop, I was amazed with the handling. I'm currently running 205/40 16's, and the ride is smooth as silk. Sure, it's a little bumpy (10k front, 8k rear with matched struts), but I'm used to this from my old setup. The rear is a little loud over bumps (due to the 40 series tires and empty tub in the back is my guess). Other than that, it's a great suspension for the money spent.

I have been looking forward to getting my car back into summer mode for some time now. I'm very happy with my decision to go with OmniPower, and would definately recommend it as an option for those looking for a new suspension setup.

does anyone have pics of their omnipower set-ups?
basically i wanna know if you can tuck your wheels(lets say 16s for example) when fully lowered.

It says up to 4" on the website...Your tire should be tucking with 3" of lowering.

LCA's: do they alter the rear camber at all? (modified arm length)

I just installed some OMNI Street Coilovers this weekend and I must say that the ride / handling exceeded my expectations.

During the install I broke a rear LCA bolt (the one holding the schock fork) and could not drill it out. The bolt ohldig the LCA to the subframe would not come out either, so I had to cut both of them. I purchased OMNI LCAs because they are roughly the same price as the Stock Replacements. Installation of the LCAs is simple. I can't comment on the difference in ride with them because they went on with the Coilovers, so it was totally different ride all together when I finally got it off the jack stands.

No. They are equal length to stock.

My rear is loud and clunky. I, too, think it is because there is little weight in the rear to deaden the impact of bumps. I am going to re-inspect the rears tonight and see what I can find. It clunks a bit even over small bumps / cracks in the road and I don't like it.

camber kit in the front, it's t3h HAWT!!!! I love it!!! but very few kms on it, so I can't say how it's gonna hold up

I have these too, I find them to be very good but I get alot of noise from the rear as well.. not sure why.. I don't have much weight in the trunk either.. in fact its stripped..

You have alot of noise because the truck IS stripped. It acts as a giant speaker when it isn't lined with sound deadening material such as carpet and plastic interior panels

I was thinking that it could be my trunk bed board...that cardboard cut out that's under the liner. Since I don't usually keep anything in my trunk I figured it is probably jolting it a making extra noise. So I looked at it and it's loose and can easily be moved around. It was also cracked near the front.

I'l take it out tonight and see if there's ny difference...I doubt it though. I'll be re-inspecting my rear suspension tonight as well.
