Oil Troubles

Well, its official my honda burns oil. LOts of it too. I have a 95 civic dx with the stock engine. Its not leaking oil, head gasket is fine so im unsure what it is. I talked to 2 mechanics and they are telling me its an internal problem and would be to costly to repair, what are ur takes

Could be. My buddy is burning oil big time, his rings are gone. I had a burning oil issue and I had a ring gone. Get a compression test done.

You can get a ZC engine for cheaper than the cost of a rebuilt.

change your oil and throw soem lucas or similar stuff in there maybe that will tighten **** up abit to get you by till you get a new engine

yuo.,. do an oil change.. and you might as well put 10w40 in there with some stabilizer. See if it still burns oil.

It's most likely your rings. You can do a compression test to see how bad they are.
