oil pressure gauge

oil pressure gauge

hey guys i just installed my oil pressure gauge the back terminals are hooked up to the oil pressure sender (its electronic) and the other two are hooked up to ground and 12v power but the gauge shoots up to past 100 and doesnt move??? any suggestions

yeah because im running that wire for my other gauge its the red wire off the clock and the otyher gauge i have works so i unno...the gauges needs ground,power,and the oil pressure sender right???

what kinda gueage is it?? i have a autometer guage n i got blakc,red,white wires then 3 other wires (purple,green,black) that r connected ot the sending unti balcks ground,reds to power it switchable 12V source and white for dimmer/instruments lgihts on or off........if it just shoots up n stays there it means u got 1 of the 3 or 2 wires hooked up wrong check again that u got them connected proprly..did u connect the guage wires to the factory sending unit or u got a sepret 1??

i have an autometer gauge and there are 3 spots on the back for ring terminals i have one coming from the autometer oil pressure sender( the big golden round one) and the other two spots i have hooked up to 12v and one to a ground.

try switching them around and see what happens. Could have a faulty guage/sending unti or the wires just mixed up.

check all the wiring and on the guage n the sending unit cuz it sound sliek 1 of the wires is connnected wrong or maby the guage is broke or the unit
