Hastings Filters are all I will use.
The auto part's store near my house has a Fram, a Penzoil, and a Hastings filter all with the top cut off so you can see the inside of them and the Hastings is built FAR better.

I use Mobil 1 5W30 synthetic oil and run the large Honda S2000 filter (Honda Part # 15400-PCX-004).
Some people were asking about filters and such so I got bored one week and did a little filter experiment on D-series.org if anyone is interested: http://www.d-series.org/forums/showthread.php?t=9869
Now before comment roll in, I know this info is not new to most people. I only began to look into filter within the last 6 months. Like I said I was bored and just wanted to see for myself what the inside of the OEM Honda filters looked like. I'd seen lots of pics on the net and read many stories on Honda-Tech but I just wanted to kill some time and see for myself. I also cut open a FRAM X2 filter as well for those that use them.
Most people are content to use lesser priced alternatives and I'm cool with that. I'm not trying to flame on people who do their oil changes with Canadian Tire products or what have you. I am a re-born OEM parts user however in the case of Honda filters, I have changed which OEM filter I use now. As well, I don't like how Honda has gone to the new smaller filter design. I've read this is to keep oil press up for when going in and out of VTEC but IMO I can't be content with the fact that there's obviously less filtration area.
Base on the info I've read the HAMP (Honda After Market Parts) filters are apparently made by Toyo Roki of Japan which manufactures the S2000 one I use. Spoon uses the HAMP filters on their cars so they must do a good job
I currently have the S2K large filter on my EG now and I'm going to give the HAMP filter a try when I take my car out of storage in spring.
