You don't calculate it, it is manufactured.

Nova if you can't see it marked ont he wheel you can measure it.

note this post will have math in it if you don't like math skip the rest fo this post.

what offset is:

offset is the distance from the centerline of the wheel that the hub mounts too. this is when viewed fromt he front of the car.

if the offset is positive then it is on the outside of the centerline towards the outside of the car.

if the offset is negative it is towards the inside of the centerline towards the center of the car.

now how to measure the offset.
first measure the width of the rim in mm. you could take the width of the rim in inches and multiply by 25.4 that's close enough.

devide that number in 2. thats the distance from one of the outside edges of the rim to the centerline.

now place the rim so that the face of the rim is on the ground. you might want to protect it but hey thats your call.

take a ruler and set it on the edge of the inside of the wheel so that it's right across the diameter.

now measure down from the ruler to the back of the hub. record this number in millimeters if you can only measure in inches multiply by 25.4.

now take that second measurement and subtract the distance to the centerline.

voila you have the offset. (yes this can be a negative number)

For accord - you can run rims with offsets of ET40 - 45. Just heading off the next question..............

use this site to figure out how much out/in your wheels will sit on your ride...
Keep in mind most 15" OEM Honda rims for civics/integras are 15x6 ET40
