odd problem (starting related)
I was in California for the last 3 weeks and my car was parked on the street and not being used.
Today I got around to digging it out so I could take her out for a spin.
After I got it dug out I started it up, took a second or two since the battery was probably low from being in the cold so long. But it did start no problem.
I went inside and let it run for about 20 minutes then went back out to drive it, I put it in reverse and it stalled on me (I lifted the clutch to fast and there was snow under my tires)
I waited a second and tried to start it again, it was a no go. It turned over and almost started. So I left it and came back 1/2 hour later and it started again no problem. I let it run for a few minutes to warm up again, then I turned it off to see if it would start again, and once again no go.
When the engine was running, it sounds great, revved fine.
Any ideas?

yeah, your battery capacity is decreased from the cold, once you start it, you drain it, and then you either have to let it run to charge it back up, or you have to leave it alone for an extended period to let the electrolytic process accumulate charge. that is the bane of lead-acid batteries
