Odd Engine Situation

k well i just got back from ausstralia and pulled my car out of the garage a few days ago. before i had left i was having idling troubles. my idles was remaining at around 1800 rpm without change.

when i returned for a bit the situation was unchanged but then it worsened. now my car revs on its own when im not in gear or when the clutch is depressed. it constanty blips from 1100 to about 1900, this goes on while im not in gear

recently my check engine light came on, and i discovered how to stop the blipping, i can do this by turnign on the Air conditioning, but this doesnt fix the problem, once the ac is turned of it begins again, any ideas?

your ac is putting a load on the engine which stops it from surging... first check all vacuum lines and make sure there is no leak, then clean your idle air control valve...

could be the iacv, fitv or a vacuum leak. Like ^^^^ said check the code and go from there.
