Not shifting
clutch seems to engage, but car wont go into gear.. any ideas?

leak in your lines
|
Why do you say it "seems to engage"?
When you say it won't go into gear, is it the shifter that won't shift into the spot or does the shifter go in but the car doesn't move when you let out the clutch? |
you just have air in your lines. Bleed your slave
|
The shifter shifts, yet the car doesnt move when i let out the clutch. I've bled the slave many times. Im thinking its the shift rods?
|
wait.. what?!?!
your shifter shifts? so you can get it into gear? but if you let out the clutch, nothing happens? Check if your slave pin/piston is pushing on the clutch fork properly. Do you actually feel like lock into gear? or no? if it doesnt.. you have a problem with either your transmission, or your shift linkage. If its for EVERY single gear, chances are its your rods |
Slave is fine, i just replaced it. Im almost sure its the rods now. But yes, when i put it into gear, and release the clutch, the car doesnt move.
|
you probably roasted both of your axles/drive shafts
|
Is there any changes in sound when you release and engage the clutch?
When you shift gears, can you actually see the linkage @ the transmission moving? Usually if a fork is the problem, your clutch will stay permanently engaged. This should be fairly easy to diagnose. |
