yes the rev limiter is removeable....

yes the rev limiter is there to stop the engine for breaking down keeping the parets in the safe rpm range

and yes you can distory your engine from reving it too high,.....

and yes I don't recommend it ....

any questions?

^^^how big is your weiner..??? ...haha

I'd think valve float before rod snap...or valve float valve hit piston inpact snapping rod....9300 on a y8 must have sounded like a retarded gas trimmer...haha

to answer your question ....huge ....

anyways yeah I'd tend to agree that valve to piston contact would be the biggest worry.....

rev linmiters save motors on miss-shifts all the time...but sometimes they arent quick enough and pooof goes the engine still

2 thumbs up for rev limiters...it was kinda fun in my 1st gen without one...100+kmh in 2nd gear...it was a freakin loud *** trip though hahaha

one thing you have to remember on a down shift there is no rev limiter... even in the stock ecu I've missed a down shift and hit 8 grand which is well above the stock 6800 rpm cut off point and it stayed up there till I broke for a corner and forced it down....

i was in my buddys 99 prelude sh tearing apart a vr6 golf when he mishifted and dumped it back into 2nd instead of 4th and his motor got ****ed, car started chugging and would run then die, run then die, ended yp he warped the valves, did some damage to the head and blew the knock sensor.

LOL, theres no reason to removing your rev-limiter unless your motor can handle/make power up beyond 8200 rpm.
