No cat - put it back in?
My Civic's a plain-old SOHC non-VTEC. Yet I found out on the weekend it has no cat, no resonators, and the pipes are pretty wide, giving it a pretty free flow.
Jooksingkid said I'll probably get more power via backpressure if I put a cat in. Plus the bonus of a quieter environment.
Will it be a worthwhile difference (say 3hp or xx dB reduction)?
Magnaflow or stock? I know stock is restrictive, but I'm wondering if Magnaflow is already nearing free-flow...
Thanks!

for a sohc non-VTEC, you're going to want the quicker responding bottom end power.
A stock exhaust is a good way to go for your purposes.
If you want something you can bolt on that is cheap that not stock for your motor, get an SiR midpipe and axelback. you should be able to pick up the combo for around $150 but you will also need to find a cat.

get a full itr catback...best for sound and flow....2 1/4 iping so you get good flow but a nice muffler that kills sound but also flows very well...the best sleeper exhaust out there in my opionin...I mean you ahve a non vtec motor your car makes no hp or torque so you dont' need huge piping with a test pipe and a straight threw muffler..isnt' it retardedly loud..???
get a itr exhaust...
