Nitrous Gauge
hey..i'mlooking for a nitrous gauge. Had my heart set on the Autometer Carbon Fibre Guage. On racer wheel they list the electric gauge has $212!!! The mechanical one is $88. Could the $212 be a mistake..i've never heard of nitrous gauges being that expensive
Also....what extra work and cons would be involved in getting the mechanical one instead....thanks

the electrical gauges are in more demand then the mechanical ones .. that increases the price
also the Electrical gauges have to have more stuff come with them. mainly a sensor and fittings ....that increases the price
in the end go electrical you don't wanna run nitrous lines into the cabin because if something breaks and nitrous gets in and a spark happens ...(say in the event of an accident) Ka-boom your toast...

If its a nitrous pressure guage your talking about...
A: there isnt really a need for one, because the pressure comes from the compressed oxygen, which doesnt really tell you how much nitrous is actually in your tank..
B: just get one for the top of the bottle, if you want it for estimateing the the volume left in the bottle, they are way cheaper! good ones go for about 30$ US
C: If your doing it just to have more guages in the cockpit, then get something usefull like an Air/ fuel mixture guage... It tells you if your running too lean under spray which is the most important thing to be monitoring with nitrous...
