50 is enough to have fun with. i had a wet setup (extra fuel is always a good idea with n2o) on my engine a few years back... originally ran it on the d. once installed i had to replace my burnt out clutch after 2 pulls. i went with an ACT after that and never had any problems. i still have the complete kit with the bottle warmer, purge kit and everything. i was trying to sell it but no one seemed to follow through and actually buy it. too many people fear the n2o!

1. make sure it is installed properly. i had relays for the solenoids and my microswitch for wot mounted directly on the tb. i had an arming switch and purge button as well. it wasn't a kit so i had to figure it all out with a friend and pick up pieces here and there.
2. you will need to make sure your bottle has been inspected and stamped within the last 5 years if you want to get it refilled. you can get it inspected at a scuba shop which would probably be cheaper than taking it elsewhere. put the bottle in the freezer for a day or so before you take it to get refilled, that way you can get it refilled right away when you arrive.
3. if you want to run it at the track you will need a dump tube on the bottle instead of the blow off disc that usually comes on the bottle.
4. i ran it out of 1st at the track on a regular basis. i just didn't put my foot all the way to the floor until i was getting traction, then when i hooked up decent, i put it that extra inch to the floor and zoom!
5. never ever miss-shift or your bottom end will shoot out your oil pan. i've seen this first hand.
6. always fill up with 94 octane after installation to help prevent detonation.
7. make sure your bottle is bolted properly to the FRAME of the car. nitrous isn't illegal on the street, but if an officer sees that it isn't secured properly within the vehicle it will be impounded on the spot.

i didn't have any proper tuning on my setup, i just retarded the timing a bit and i am still running the same engine on boost today.

andrew, i may want to get setup with an ecu switch down the road some day when i probably put it back on the car.

its not illegal to use on the street either, as long as it doesn't cause you to speed or drive dangerously. Apparently, you are supposed to notify your insurance company that you are using your car to transport n20....boo....urns?
