yes.

if there stock shocks ridding on stock springs with not alot of KM's then they should be fine, but if there stock shocks ridden on lowering springs life of the shock is decreased alot.

all depends on how low you put the coilovers.

Some people say keep them above a 2" drop and you are fine. Some people say they are gonna be screwed no matter what with coilovers.

if u dont have the $$$$ to buy good aftermarket shocks to be used for lowering ur car ur stock ones will do for a while just dont drop it too much like what everybody says , dont go more than 2 inch drop.
i went through 2 sets of stock shocks in the past year riding on coilovers lowered more than 2 inch so go figure.

i would say u can save ur self some money in the long run if u get new shocks and not have to buyy new ones few yrs down the road

if u don't really car bout the shocks then go get motomaster performance shocks but if u do go get something like KYB they are pretty good for ur money thats what i heard

my self i am really satisfied with my koni yellows coil over kit by ground control but pretty pricey i paid $1600 for everything

so jus decide on what u want first

ya Nova_Dust, but sometimes it just doesn't stick with some ppl... I'd rather spend money on really good shocks than ricing my **** out, but some ppl don't get it. They's spend $40 on LED washers and another $40 on LED valve caps, and $1000 on a system, but they won't spend money on something that makes their car safer, ride nicer and last longer. I'm not saying labatia in particular, just some ppl... Can't help ppl like that The FIRST thing to do for handling is to upgrade tires and shocks on an old car, then bushings, then springs, then sway bars, then braces. Some would even say sway bars before springs, and they would be correct 90% of the time, but say the car's got old saggy springs... plus it's also a stance factor too (in terms of looks), so I can understand the desire to swap springs.

I think I am gonna get a rear sway bar as my next to-buy item, then thinking about lowering the car with shocks.

I have been dreaming for Volk T37 but my gf says they are ugly... I can't believe it.... I showed her Spoon rims and she said they are ugly too...

Girls like shiny things Nova_Dust, you gotta learn that Show her Rota Slipstream in gunmetal with a polished lip, I think she might like it. When you wanna buy a rear sway, lemme know and I'll see what I have at the time.

The good thing is we both like bronze colour rims, but she likes the type that has 6 spokes with double lines, or the OZ touring rims, but I like simple Spoon or Volk ones....

As for rear sway, I just did strut bar and intake so I am gonna ease on expenses at the moment. I am thinking sometime in August or Sept that I will purchase a rear sway bar, and also get a new air filter around the same time, or maybe even later. The cheap one can still last for a long time I think. It is not like people will buy it from me, so I might as well use it to the fullest.

I am thinking using quality parts for upgrade. What brand do you have in mind for rear sway bar? I was thinking of Spoon...

But the pain is... that once you start a car project, it is hard to stop in the middle. She wants me to save money which I totally understand, that's why I have to wait and all that....
