New Swap, New Headache

im so PISSED!!!, picked my car up yesterday from the shop, wit my new b16a, the PS wasnt there, told me to come in Monday to get new ps pump etc. car was running fine when i got it, shifter was a little sticky and hard but needs some loosening, v-tec was hitting at 5500ish, normal i suppose, so today i buy new spark plugs, put them in. drove for a bit, no problems. then im at a mall, hop back in my car, it struggles to turn over, when it finally does, the CEL is on, im now soo pissed, but i gets worse, the motor in neutral was idoling from 1000-1500 back to 1000, not being normal i turn off my car. AND NOW IT WONT START!!, should i be suspecting some ****ty *** install, not only do i need to go back i know have to tow my car. what you guys think? the motor looks good, i hope its just some wiring bull****? has this happend to anyone?

my car was doin the exact same thing... right now im driving with a CEL on.. took it to honda and it pulled up a knock sensor code.. havent had time to get that replaced yet but every now and then in neutral it idles from 1500 then drops to 1000 and every so often the car stays at 1500 and i gotta turn car off and start it again but knock sensor dont usually go bad so it might be something else for you.

well i just went to try to start it and it did, its idling at 1800ish cuz its cold, however the check engine light is still on, my tach, gas and temp gauge work but my speedometer doesnt, and thoughts? does that have to do with the CEL?

you could be getting a code 17 for the vehicle speed sensor.
Here's a link with what to do.

2nd gen b16s dont work right in an ek dude. research is something you do BEFORE your swap.

you need a b16a2 not a seccond gen b16

I'm more concerned with the placement on the distributor...it should be like this.
