New stuff installed

Today, I finally got my Energy Suspension Shifter Bushings installed. What a difference! The shifts are much smoother, and more direct. The spacing between the gears feels a little closer together, almost like a Miata. My Solo shifter feels so much better now. Reverse is a bit tougher to get into the first try, but it was always like that. The install was so easy with the exhaust dropped.

I also had my factory exhaust, and Magnaflow axel-back replaced with an SiR cat-back that I purchased used, but in perfect condition. Not as loud as the previous combo, but it does sound deeper. And for all the nay-sayers that think that the Si and SiR's exhausts are the same, they are not. The SiR's pipes are a bit bigger, the bends are smoother, and the part#'s on the muffler and resonator aren't even close. I am very happy with the stealty sound, and the butt-dyno feels the increase in flow. Both cost me $75 to have installed. Hopefully both mods are JSK and bbarbulo approved.

crappy pic

bbarbulo... I was told that even though the black ones are self-lubing, they are not as stiff as the red ones, and are just made to be replacements, not as an upgrade.

Urethane is better than rubber...so red or black urethane is a small difference really i got black ones, I noticed an improvement. Though its true red ones are stiffer, the black ones are in some ways still superior... it comes down to giving up a little shift quality to gain a lot of peace of mind. It's a fine balance... You did not make a mistake by any means... but you may have to lube them once in a while, that's all.
