New Honda Oil Filter?

Hey Hey! Long time no see!

Great to know you guys are still here!

I do have a question though for all you OEM oil filter guys.

I recently went to Parkway (Brett said that the affilitation with TCC is going south) - What's up with that BTW?

Anyways, I was told that there's only one OEM honda filter and so I bought 3.

I thought it seemed a little small, and I was right!

Old one on the left, new one on the right.

Have they changed the OEM Honda filter? The base is still the same and it fits okay. Someone tell me that they are compatible.

Yes the new ones are small. I believe it's one-size-fits-all. I think it fits all hondas before '01 or something... someone correct me if I'm wrong!

because no one goes into parkway anymore for some reason so he sees no reason to be affiliated if no one is using the discounts. HE also mentioned some other clubs have approached him about affiliation so who knows.

Ed,

Long time no hear. About the oil filters. Yes, they have changed. No the performance hasn't been compromised. If anything, the thinner ones are better. At least they are made to the same specifications as the old one, if not stricter specifications.

These will fit almost any Honda except (as someone already mentioned) the Insight but also the S2000 has a different filter although this one will fit... If you have enough money to buy an S2000, you should be able to buy the specific filter for it..... I can't really tell you about the NSX though.

When only 3 cars showed up at the Parkway Honda Grand Opening Event, I think that pretty much shattered Brett's feeling more than anything else.

But, he can't expect to blame us for not showing? From what I understand, we had a cruise scheduled for that same day and he understood. Apparently this cruise had been under planning for a LONG time. On top of that, this grand opening thing was suppose to happen a week later. Instead, he changed the date on us last minute and he expects us to just go to the grand opening instead??? Like what's up with that? If that's his arguement, he's upstream without a paddle.

Cheers,
Buddah.
