new headgasket question

from what i heard
after i replaced a headgasket
i shouldn't rev over 4000 RPM for how long?
and is it call the engine break-in or something else?

no break in required for a head gasket. you may need it re-torqued after about 5-10,000km.

yeah i've never heard of a break-in period after you change a headgasket.

oh u dun? is headgasket the gasket that goes between the head and the bottom block?

but i thought u have to break-in for a certain KMs, let the new headgasket to form the shape of the head and bottom in order to have no leak of air and liquid right?

another question is my friend has a 2000 B18c5 in his EK and he wants to chip his ECU, hes planning to get an old integra ECU which is a OBD1 ecu, so hes wondering, after the OBD2-OBD1 ECU swap plus the harness....does he need to get an OBD1 distributor also?
and what else he needs to change
