new engine?
 

thinking about getting a new engine...mine is giving me alot of problems looking to get something affordable
-b16 is out of the question b/c i need one ASAP
would a ZC fit in an 00ek? i heard its a pretty sh*ty engine but it would be a nice project
or should i just pick up a y8 or a d15b

any suggestions?

get a y8, direct replacement.

zc's have high km. it'll be tough to find a good cond. one

b16's are a dime a dozen, readily available at any japanese import shop!

ZCs are pretty much obsolete. To find one with low mileage or overall good condition is very difficult and not advisable.

why would it be not advisable....b/c its old?
or would it be something mechanical?

a dohc zc is a d series is it not?
so would my tranny and everything fit?

whatevers cheaper... grab a y8, that would be some fun and they are cheap anyway.

where would i get a d16y8w/vtec?
b/c most importers only sell jdm engines and most places dont sell the y8
