New DOHC ZC swap w/ Oil problems!!

Hey guys! I'm not sure if this is a big problem or not, but i've recently jus swapped in a DOHC ZC engine in my 93 civic hatch and was told the mileage was around 60-80K. The engine and installation was done by TotalJDM, (www.torontojdm.com) at Sept 12, 2006.
Now, i've been having an issue w/ the way the engine handles the oil. Basically, when i got my car back w/ the newly installed zc in it, i drove it daily around the scarborough area to and from work for at least 3 weeks. I checked the oil level, and there was only a quarter left. Since I had my swap done by TotalJDM, they have 3 months of warranty. So i got my car checked and the guy told me he would replace the seals free of charge bcuz its covered by warranty. So, they supposedly changed the seals already. And now, ever since i got my car back (from when they replaced the seals, not sure which seals exactly tho) i've been driving the car for i guess almost a month now, and the same thing happened, my oil level is at a quarter full.

So i asked why it's still losing oil and the guy told me that, it's normal to lose half of my oil after driving the car for 2000km. So, i checked jus exactly how much oil it loses by mileage. I reset my counter when my oil was half full. And i've been driving the car now for 469km to be exact. After driving it around for that long, my oil level is now at a quarter full. So, i've lost a quart of oil in under 500km.

My warranty, ends in December 12, 2006. Do you guys thing that they're messing around w/ me and not really doing anything to fix my car and jus letting this drag on till my warranty ends?? OR is there something else wrong w/ my car that they don't know about and should it be something thats covered by the warranty?? Anyway, any help or pointers/suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys, looking forward to your responses...and please bare w/ me, i'm a newb when it comes to swaps and dealing w/ the engine. So i wanna learn as much as i can. Thanks again!

-Joel

well, i was thinking of actually doing that... but would they replace the engine for me?? the mechanic told me that the engine makes good compression tho. and its not really leaking all over the ground. i usually check under the engine tho, and it looks like theres a few droplets of liquid that have leaked, but looks pretty dry, not wet at all. so i'm not sure if thats oil or not. unless oil can dry up and jus leave like a mark of where it has been dropped.

i check the oil either mornings b4 i go to work, (on a reasonably leveled flat surface) or after work when it's been parked at the parking lot for 8 hours.

yeah, i was thinkin of doing that next... those guys who installed the engine arent really trying to help me out it seems. they should've done a leakdown test from when they supposedly changed the seals.

got anymore suggestions or information that i should check into??
k i'll check in tomorrow after work, gotta sleep now. thanks for all help

That will not give you a proper reading because your oil level wil apper higher with this method. This is because all of your oil will have seeped to the pan now and is not being used up for lubrication.

To get an acurate reading you have to check it after the engine has been runing and let it sit for only a few minutes to set. This will show an acurate leval because oil will be on all your moving parts as well.
Best time for this would be when you fill up your gas after you have paid or something.
