Neuspeed Lowering Springs!
I own a 01 civic lx coupe, and I plan on lowering it. I was just wondering if a 1.75" front and 1.5" rear drop using Neuspeed springs will still be a good ride? Thanks!

1. Welcome to TCC.
2. Wrong forum, but I moved it here. 3. I have H&R Sport springs on my 03 Civic and they are almost as low as the Neuspeed springs. 2 summers ago when the struts were still fairly new, the ride was perfect. Now, one and probably both of my front struts are leaking and the ride is starting to suck. Your car is an 01 and I'm sure the struts are not brand new. I would say that those springs will quickly ruin your stock struts. I would invest in a set of Tokico HP struts to go with the springs. |
Actually ya you're right my front struts are starting to leak and i do plan on getting them done b4 the drop! (The 01 models are known for strut problems)..

Most 01-05 Civic springs have very soft rates and are not super low so they ride very nice because of that. My car rides firmer then stock, but not to stiff at all.
I'd recommend the HP struts simply becuase they bolt right in. The Koni Yellows are much better and adjustable, but they are inserts and your stock struts are re-used. The HPs get great reviews on the 7th gen club. |
neuspeed sport would be fine unless u get the neuspeed race....they might be a bit stiff
if u got the bucks....go coilover |
i just put Teint stechs in my car and i LOVE the ride, i wish it was a bit more aggressive on the hieght but i am very happy with just the springs!!! 1.6 drop front and back
