Need some help here with the compressor

My car started making some noise, I believe its coming from the AC COMPRESSOR...sounds like the bearing or something is gone.

now...what are my options
replace it?

can i get it fixed?

or totally take it out...(if i can)?

some help would be greatly appreciated...as the rattling noise is really getting to me...

yes if it is the compressor when you remove the belt the noise should go away (since the compressor is not turning anymore) and then you will know for sure if it's the compressor
