need some help !

hey guys
maybe I can get some advice from here . I just noticed a noise coming from the front of my car (honda civic 2000 se ) . I think is the shocks ( i got off the car and push the hood and there was the noise )anyways I m pretty sure is the front shocks . Now I don t really have the money to replace it now . I m wondering how long can I drive my car with bad shocks and how much would it cost me to change the front shocks ( also my car is low ) . Any advide would be helpfull , I don t have the money to replace them now and if i could hold for a bit it would be awesome although if its something that can t wait then I have to get the money somehow
thanks again

well....

I suppose you can ride on bad shocks for awhile, but the ride will be ****ing brutal and it will definately have its affects on your front end.

Are you certain that it's your shocks?

You are riding a lowered suspension on stock shocks?

Now I m not sure , I asked my dad to take a look at it today , he said its doesn t really look like the shocks , he said it may need grease , I drove it today and I can t hear the sound , i can only hear it when i push the front down or when I reversed . I guess I m gonna have to take it to the mechanic to find out for sure .

I m not sure about that , I bought the car and it was low already , all I know is that they lowered the car by cutting the springs so its not adjustable .

Dont just change the shocks if you have cut springs? Like mentioned before cut springs are a nono so unsafe. I suggest a new suspension set up for you my friend. Wether it be stock or not.

KYB AGX
KONI Yellows/Reds
Illuminas
... i would have to say for shocks

H&R Sport OR Race
H&R Race springs will give you a nice drop if thats what your lookin for.

dont get race springs unless your going to replace your shocks.
sportlines and sports are good springs to use if your going to keep the stock shocks.

Rick, go have it looked at by someone who knows what there talking about (a mechanic). It might just be a bushing or a failed front-end part (dried up ball-joint, maybe). Go to a local Canadian Tire Shop ask for a "brake inpection" which is FREE. Then once your car is in the shop and on the hoist. Mention that there is also a noise coming from ur suspension. The Tech. will be willing to take a look bcuz the wheels are already off and he is getting paid for the inpection... THEN BOOM!! FREE INPECTION BY A TECH! They will try to sell you the work you need but no one is holding a gun to ur head.

just my advise...
