Exclamation Need Some Help

ok well i own a 99 civic dx, standard. ok heres the problem, my throttle is weird. its hard to keep the revs down, its really touchey. and when and if you do get it go accelerate normal it usually jerks. hard to explain, its just pretty much hard to accelerate normally without it jerking, just wondering if anyone has any idea of what it could be? thanks alot guys! take care

165,000 kms on it, i have no idea what the clutch is i just bought the car 6 months ago, and the problem. ummmm ok so your driving 1st gear, change to 2nd and to get back on the gas it almost impossible to ease into it, it jumps, its like it skips slow acceleration and just goes? that help a lil bit??

same thing happened to me when i swapped in my z6. i just cleaned the throttle body and cable and the problem was fixed after that. it's worth a shot, it took me like 10 mins.

i used my left over sea foam . i didn't bother taking off the throttle body. i just took off the intake and used a tooth brush. get some kinda cleaner for that. dip the tooth brush in it and just scrub away. then i used some engine cleaner and sprayed it where the cable was and cleaned off all the dirt. after all that the throttle was nice i could hold it at low rpms with ease.
