need some advice

what do u guys think of this set up and what the gains would be
I rather just build off the motor i currently have then to swap 1.

AEM V2 CAI
Skunk2 intake manifold
skunk2 68mm throttle body
skunk2 stage 1 camshafts (would like to keep stock idle)
adjustable cam gears
apexi WS2 catback
and some sort of header (DC, Vibrant or maybe if anyone knows a place to custom make one 4 my application, ideas would be nice)
port and polished head
and last but not least a awesome TUNE!

oh um.. I drive a 2000 SiR

thanks for looking and for your input

sounds good. I have some Skunk2 Stage 1 cams for sale, they were used for like 400kms on a turbo setup and made 310whp. PM me for more details.

ok sorry.
I'd say grab an AEBS intake manifold, its way cheaper than the Skunk2 and is designed after the same manifold as the skunk2 (the ITR). And a 68mm throttle body might be a little overkill.
I say you should, here me out now, i'm not trying to push parts on you, i know C will get a kick outta this....u should buy the cams i've got and a complete b16 head w/IM and t/b my friend has (he's selling it cheap) this way you can send the head out to gord bush performance for a port and polish and mill it a bit to raise the compression and have goosesh1t bore the spare b16 throttle body out to 64mm and i've also got a fakedata heatsheild gasket i can sell ya. Buy a decent header, vibrant, jun, edlebrock, anything with a 2.5" collector, except a DC and a 2.5" mandrel bent exhaust of your choice. And get it tuned with crome.
If you listen to my advice it will yeild better results on way less money. The head is $400 and bored throttle body for $100, AEBS intake manifold for $200. After you swap the new head on you can sell your current head to recover the cost of the new one. So $700 for the new head to do headwork to bigger t/b and better IM $400 or so of which you will get back after everythings done. You would spend $700 just on a skunk2 intake manifold and 68mm throttle body, which IMO might be a tad big.
And having a spare head to send out for headwork is nice to avoid a lot of downtime, you could assemble the head with the IM on and just swap it out for the current one, trust me you'll be pleased with the results.
Oh and ARP hardware is a must too.
PM me for more details about the cams i have and tuning, i have a feeling some people might think i'm spamming it up.
But yeah, i have basically the same setup (stage 2 cams) in my b16 and if you wanna come for a rip you're more than welcome.
If you've got the loot and are serious about a build like this seriously dude PM me.

well most stage1 cams can be safely used on stock valvetrain. Although skunk2 recommends (and i do too) using an upgraded valvetrain they also say it isn't necessary.

where do I source out a AEBS manifold? but i can get a skunk2 intake manifold for $250 brand new, as far as doin all this at once my funds are low.. so i wanted to do one thing at a time.. what would be the best way to go right now without actually doing the headwork as of yet? probably a catback and headers I assume.
also what are u pushin off ur B16 dude? im assuming 190ish with this set up? but u got stage 2 cams.. not sure if it makes a huge dif

go to your local performance shop and ask for a AEBS typhoon intake manifold. I got mine locally in hamilton for $175 and i have the polished one.
As for how much power i'm pushing at the moment, i'm not sure b/c i haven't been back to the dyno to see yet, i just grabbed a real time programmer, so i'm going back soon. But i will honestly be surprised if it doesn't make 180ish whp.
Last time i went with the stock IM, t/b, crappy dc 4-1 header, stock cat and 2.25" tuned with a generic chipped p28 and vafc2 i made like 165whp and 115ft/lbs. And this was with an air/fuel ratio of about 12.3:1. I've since tuned it myself to around 13:1-13.3:1 afr and messed with the timing and vtec crossover and it pulls a lot nicer....not to mention the new upgrades since.
Anywho, and good header and free flowing exhaust is a good place to start. Then get an intake maniflld and bigger throttle body. This will get your engine breathing as best it can so you can get the most out of headwork/cams.
