Need more horsepower!
i'm thinking of putting a cold air intake to my 2000 sedan auto tranny but don't know if it's necessary and if it does help to boost some horsepower. what is a good brand for cold air intake and what other things can i do to boost horse?

a cold air intake will give you a few horsepower. the best brand by far is AEM. other mods that will give you some power is a header and exhaust. these 3 make up the basic bolt-ons that you can do. dont expect much more than 15whp TOPS with these 3 mods however.

Unless you are committed to spending a big chunks of coin I would said - DON"T BOTHER.
Spend you money on things that will make it look good cause with that motor you are fighting a very steep uphill battle to make it move, but it can look good quite easily.

CAI are basically the same, you're just paying for the name
You won't be gaining much from a D motor.
If you're going to go cold air, you're going to have to cut a hole in your car so the cold air extension can go down behind the front bumper.

don't wanna swap cuz it's auto tranny. don't wanna exhaust cuz i heard it takes up more gas (fuel efficient is y i bought a honda!) and it won't make a diff cuz it's auto (no vrooom vroooom sound).
now does cold air intake take more gas or save gas?

well it depends. if you drive the same way you do now then it'll save you gas. the problem is these things sound so good that you'll find yourself revving more than usual so you might lose gas mileage
