need a little help with a muffler for my crx
 

hey guys and gals!
As some of you may know my crx is nearing completion at the bodyshop.. Anyhow.. to drive her home i need a muffler casue well.. the old one rusted right off and i threw it away..
it was a honda muffler but the guys were being losers with me on the lifetime warranty...
AAAAnyhow..
i'm now thinking that this is a wonderful opportunity to go ahead and change that.
I was thinking of revamping the entire system from basically the a pipe back.
like the pipe that comes off the exhaust manifold and then go from there when i figure out what i'm gonna do engine wise..
i was hoping to go with 21/2 inch pipe all the way to a flowmaster muffler in the rear..
When i called the guy at the store he told me that he'de only sell me a 21/4 inch cause that's all i needed...
after a little bit of thinking i figure that shoudl be enough though that quarter inch would be really nice.. whatever.. aaaaanyhow.. whaddya think?!.. hopefully the flowmaster on my crx wont be too loud..
it's a real hellraiser on my corolla but that car is a 70's monster that doesnt wanna be held down..
anyhow.. feedback woudl be real nice
i was thinking of routing it the way the stock system is routed.. i've also had thoughts about routing it another way and having it come straight back to the propper hole..
anyhow.. lemme know people!

Vibrant has a really nice flat black muffler that has a straight through design and is supposed to sound nice and deep.

What are you asking?

If its regarding the flowmaster muffler yes it will be loud and IMO not worth the noise I would go with another brnad an keep it quiet.

here's the deal
the muffler has to be fairly quiet
the muffler cant restrict exhaust flow too much as i may eventually change the engine to something with more oomfff
when that happens i'll be making my own manifold or something.. so what i need right now is something going from the flex pipe to the rear bumper..
i'll prolly change the cat.. if i can afford to.. or if i can find one kickin around in my garage.. anyhow..lemme know
help is appreciated.. lets try to keep it sensible please.. i cant afford to buy a full tanabe exhaust system or anything
