Smile Need Help W/ Springs

Hey, I am a new member and am going to look forword to asking questions on this board. I have a stock 1996 Civic Ex. I live in Cleveland Oh and have to deal with snow, so I was thinking I should go with coilovers. I want to keep it cheap but I still want quality. I am looking for something around a 2"-2.25" drop. please advise on a good choice.

Adam

Why do coilovers suck? Do you think Eibach lowering springs will do the job? What do you have? How smoothe is your ride?

get lowering springs and do us and yourself a favour and use the search function...there are too many topics like this than I can count on all my fingers and toes...you will find answers in the other threads

but the short and sweet get some eibach, nuespeed, H&R springs and some aftermarket performance shocks tokico, kyb, koni and you will be golden!

What do you guys think about the Eibach pro-kit? They are cheap and seems to be on the low end of decent quality springs? Let me know if you have any first hand experience with these springs.

pro kits' are very nice springs...not to harsh..not to low

but for a more lower drop and a higher spring rate I'd suggest h&r sport springs with kyb agx shocks or atleast tokico blues

#1 dont ever call any eibach spring low end or ill fight you! (just kidding) but pro-kits aren't low enough for me. And if you want coilovers you won't be going cheap unless you mean just buying sleeves...if you go that route make sure you get really good shocks.

its on eibach sportlines...and its just low enough to make it through daily driving with minimal problems (though speedbumps are my enemy!)

OK, my buddy has a slammed Del Sol... I'm talking like 3 inches of clearance. He drives in the snow no problem. He's got Ground Control coilovers over KYB AGX I think.
