Hey guys i got a b20vtec in my car when my car hits vtec i hear the switch over but when it hits like 5500-6000rpm it doesn't wanan go up anymore my redline is 8500rpm. it started happening 2 nights ago. what does it be my distrbutor? thanks alot.

oh p.s. if this helps when i go around 6k rpm it seems like it's wanting to go mroe but can't i dunno how to explain it. it's like splurttering. sorry my english isn't that good.

sorry no code or anything. when i shift into vtec or slowly go into vtec it just sputters from 5500 and on no power from 5500 rpm.

could be the distributor or fuel pump.
When was the last time you did a tune up?

What program are you using in your ecu? A custom program?
If not i recommend getting ur car tuned, and a custom program made, b/c there aren't really any stock b20vtec programs to use as that engine combo was never offered by honda.
Or at least, as a bare minimum, get a b20vtec program someone else used on their car (PM me if you need either of this done).

i'm using a chip from *****ti k that nick made for the b20vtec. As for tune up today i'm buying everything to get it done. the reason i'm asking is i can't think of anything. as for tune up i really never got one done but when the engine was put in all new parts were installed but i'll do another one anyways just incase.
