need help with my cai install
one of the simpliest installs and i can't do it
brought a cai from automotive warehouse about a month ago, i tried putting the thing together a few times and installing it but i have no luck whatsoever, newbie @ work can't be any good.
i want to get help from someone, i'm not looking for someone to install it for me, because a shop can do that, but someone who can show me the way, assist me with the install.
anyone willing to help out???

it probably is the right one but on the se sedan model the circle that has to be cut for the cai extension is etched in it is not a hole already factory cut. i didnt want to cut anything in the engine bay so i just left it as a short ram ..... it would be alot less work if you do it that way but its up to you ..
what exactly are you having trouble with?

Maybe you should read the instructions?
Step 1
Take picture of your stock intake. (just in case)
Step 2
Remove factory airbox and air inlet tube
Step 3
Install CAI tube where your stock air intake tube was
(maybe some mod'in)
Step 4
Hook up all tubes that were unhooked from your factory one.
Step 5
Install filter

this a pic of what it looks like done on a 99si, yours might be different, but its not hard at all.
you have to remove the front bumper, its like 4 screws and 7 clips, that way you can get at the resonator and once thats out just remove all the stock piping and air box. then your ready to put the new one in, just make sure it sits well in the hole, i still have a little rattle but i will fix that soon and make sure that all the original hoses and lines are hooked up.
this also frees up a lot of room, i like it
oh yeah don't mind the engine bay, its dirty as hell
