Need help ls or h22a????

Hey will u guys help me out?
I am thinking of getting h22a or ls.
This is what i wanna hit a very high 12 1/4 time on street tires.

Ls motor swap, cai, headers, high flow cat, cat back exhaust, intake manifold, ecu chipped, cam gears, cams and 50-70 shot of Nos. With Bomz coil-overs and kyb adj. shocks. Front upper sway bar and rear lower bar.

or all that minus some stuff with h22a?

Very heavy motor eh?

How much does an H22 motor weigh?

How much does a B18C weigh?

DOesnt the b18c weight like 50-70 more pounds? But the h22a makes it all up with the extra torque.

Chigga, ur talking to Cablerat who has an h22a in his STOCK civic(if it still is)

the ls setup will not get you 12's....an h22 with breathers adn a 100 shot will...and you will need a slick and be a good driver...the funny part is you so new your asking what it woudl take to get 12's...clearly you have no idea how much it acutally takes to get a 12 sec pass in a honda....and how much $$$$$ it is gonna cost...oh ya and a stripped interior

you want 12's get a dsm

lol civic will remain looking stock.. No heat that way!

From what I've heard the H22a motor is about 60 lbs heavier than the B series motors.. Now this is just what others have said.. I would truly like to know though.. I doubt it's more than 100 lbs heavier though.. same block no?

heh

not the same block for sure... H22A is a big **** motor, it barely fits in the engine compartment. dunno what the actual weight is though.

not to mention the motor sit's weirdly so that probobly effects the handling more than the weight...

Yeah 150lbs heavier than a D series.. about 50 or so than a B series..

I think i read somewhere it was the same B18 Block except thinner walls.. seems unlikely.. but ohh well..

On Honda-Tech, they said B18 is 75+ from a D16, and a H22 is 25+ then a B18.

Anyway, I just love those who ask question in such damanding form. Try that at Honda-Tech and see how fast you get banned LOL
