Longer usually goes on the front. The springs might be labled front and rear and the front ones should have bigger/thicker coils.

the thicker ones are the front ones..

go by thickness of the coil (material), not the length. thicker ones in the front.

I installed the springs but now my car sits lower at the back , its not even....
Any other skunk2 ownerrs

Did ur car looked the same??

Also do springs/struts have anything to do with the height of the car.?

bbarbulo 27-Mar-2006 12:00 PM

sure they do... springs ultimately decide the height of your car. shocks determine where the spring perch sits, so yeah, I guess they also have to do with the ride height. did you load the suspension before tightening all the bolts? are the springs seated correctly? and finally, did you install the correct springs in the correct places. most springs will have a painted on number and usually a letter F for front, and R for rear.

give skunk2 a call. The number is off their site and is for Group A autosports which i'm sure can answer the question for ya.

did the springs not have any labelling? I find that very odd..

they only fit one way.

you have to drive the car for a bit to let the springs settle into place. you can't expect it to be perfect right after you install them.
