need help getting locking lugnuts off

when i bought my car the guy had the locking lugnuts on each rim.(1 a rim) and he lost the key so i dont have it and i need to get these things off, iv been told to take it to a wheel shop and they can help me out but the problem is my car is off the road and uninsured and half the motors ripped apart. Anybody know what i can do or a way to get them off? i dunno what kind they r but the pattern for the key is like circle shape going in and out, looks kinda like a flower....lol

might be the mcguard locks, borrow the key from someone that has honda oem locks and see if it works. The pattern on the locknut looks somewhat like a circle that goes in and out on the mcguard lock.

If its the stock mustang locks, good luck. I think there's like 20 or so different keys, tow it to a ford dealership and they can get it off.

At work we have these impact sockets that are sorta like those broken bolt remover type sockets. They work almost everytime.

i have a specialty socket for removing locknuts i use all the time at work. It reverse threads onto the locknut and spins it off. I got mine from snap-on but i think princess auto sells cheap knockoffs.

Yeah what 1slowEG said. In my shop they have 6 different kind of removing locknuts that u can use. We use snap on. U can also use a air chiesel to take the locknut off. Very easy to do. That snap on tool works very good, but then u will need new nuts afterwards when u take out the special lugnut because they will be no good and u don't want to put them back on.

you can also by a can of Roost Off or Rost off (i can't remember how to spell it) freeze the bolt then hit it with a chisle and hammer will crack right off
