Need Help !! Car Shutting Off

ok well my gfs civic is having a problem & cant figure out whats going on , The car will shut off after about 1hr of driving when it comes to a complete stop ( the idel drops to 0 & car turns of ) . Car is Auto & had idel adjustment , flushed system , some censors have been changed aswell. it only happens after about 1 hr of driving and will only happen when i come to a light & not drop it in N .
Any ideas on what could cause this or wat to look for .. its not overheating or anything car runs fine cept for this 1 problem ,.


any help would be greatly appicated

when it dies check if its getting spark.

check main relay. or if you are throwing codes.

You mentionned it had an "idle adjustment"?
What did you adjust?
Adjust it back to where it was...

distributor problem? maybe a cracked router or something. does it bog before it shuts off or does it just drop RPM's until 0?

Adjust it back to where it was...
yes!!!!

don't touch the idle adj. screw.. and if you do there is a proper way to set it which involves un-plugging a sensor..

Yea the car shakes whens its about to die .. When she got the car it idel really low , like 500 and now its idels fine , its just when dirving to long its gonna shut off .

its going into the shop on wensday & I Hope its nothing big , but does it sounds like a expensive job ,, I know its hard to tell

ya i dont think its a big deal if he posted here first. it shouldnt be an expensive problem as long as your mechanic can troubleshoot the problem quickly... from what i've heard i think its a distributor problem.
