need help/advice with car problem...
 

Ok so my car has been giving me some issues lately.

It randomly chooses whether to start or not. Ive got a key start alarm installed but that isnt always successful in starting it.

Ive checked the battery - fine
Ive checked the alternator- fine
So Im guessing that it is the car starter...

right now I drove the car to school and now Im stuck here. I will probably have to get CAA to tow it to a shop.

I really dont have any ties with any good shops/mechanics yet .

I will probably need a new starter installed, I need a Mississauga shop so Im taking in any recommendations...
The sooner the better.

I even tried jump starting and tried to start it with a boost and still nothing.

Also Im wondering if there are any tow truck drivers that you ppl know that would tow me for cheap? I have CAA but this will be the second time Im using it this month and I wana try and keep it for real emergencies...

what kind of alarm do u have? i had the same problem and it was my starter kill relay.. i couldnt boost the car or nothing

I got the new compustar put in about 2 months ago and it hasnt given me any problems until this week. Its the second time its done this...

First time was over the weekend when it was raining like crazy, it wouldnt start, got it towed...sat on my driveway for a day or two...

I tried to start it and it wouldnt start, then I boosted it and it started in the first try...after like letting it "charge" for like 10 mins, I started and turned it off about 15 times with no problems...until once again today.

I called the shop that installed the alarm and they said that if the alarm is making a small click sound that it its not the alarm.

The engine isnt turning over, battery and alternator are fine.

I just want this to be fixed asap.

Sounds like a problem I had last year Saad with my old car. I would say its your starter, but Im not 100% sure.

Try doing this:

Tapping on the starter and starting the car at the same time.

Did you try bump starting the car?

Ok so b4 I called CAA I decided to give it one last go. This time me and my friends pushed the car up as far back as possible from the hill, gave it a running start and then I popped the clutch when it was moving the fastest and it started right up.

The key start seems to bypass it fine right now and start the car up, but I have a feeling that if I by mistake dont put it in reservation mode I wont be able to keystart and start with my Key either...

I need recommendations on a good shop/mechanic here in mississauga...honest ppl...
