Need Help

hey guys I don't know what is wrong with my car but I think it might be my main relay for the fuel pump

sometimes my fuel pump won't prime on hot days. Also when I get gas and sometimes it will start and then the rpms will just die down and my car will stall. Another thing that just happened was when I was driving one day my rpms started to drop stall for no reason.

Guys if you know what it could be please leave feedback

could be the main relay or the distributor or the fuel pump.

imported_kon-yue 14-Jul-2007 11:17 PM

is there a way to check each of them
I don't want to go around replaces parts that I don't need

that is what he's trying to do. if you've got nothing to contribute, don't waste his time and post crap like that.

check your wiring connections to the fuel pump. that is a good place to start anyway.

to check the distributor, pull the cap off and look at the rotor inside to see how worn it is. if it is really worn, put a new cap and rotor on. pull each of the spark plugs as well. here are a couple good sites on reading plugs: http://www.nightrider.com/biketech/spkplghnbook.htm#We
http://www.dansmc.com/Spark_Plugs/Sp...s_catalog.html

i'm not sure about checking the main relay, but you may want to download a shop manual somewhere and see what you can find. the shop manuals are a great resource for troubleshooting on your own since they go though a step by step process of elimination and they are easy to understand and have lots of diagrams on how to do this kinda stuff. you can download some at these sites:

Sounds very much like the main relay, I had very similar issues with my car last summer.
To fix, I removed the main relay which is located under the dash to the left of the fuse panel, if I remember correctly.
You can find pictures of where it's located and what it looks like just do a search on google.
Then I opened it up and using a soldering Iron I reheated each solder joint and added a bit more solder to some of them.
I've never had a problem since.

I do.

I just dont think I should answer the same question 50 times a month.

I provided that link for a reason, its easy to find to, just type in "no start"

Either way, refer to the link I posted for help on how to pin point your problem. It's not specific to honda, so tell us what you find and we'll tell you how to test the part and where its located
