Need advice Badly on tire fitment
hi,
This is the F... Second time I have runing into this problem..... I don't know if I am the only one on the boat, but I really need help. I have a 96 EK hatch and it is running a 16inch 205/40/16 size tire 1.about 3 to 4 month ago, my tire flatted on the highway, and it end up I got alignment issue ( both front tire got server wear off in the inner side) 2 Again this thing happened to me today, but the difference is that this time the flatten is not wear off, but a huge crack is on the inner side of the tire. This first time can be explained since I have ran into a speed bump at speed about (55 to 60) this probably set the alignment off Similarily, in the second time I ran into a concave hole at speed about 50 to 60km and then after I seen a crack on the hole. what I have in mind is that the tire hit the upper control arm or....... Have anyone have experience it, and what can I do, change the offset? smaller tire....... thanks alot |
how low is your car?
|
not much lowered, about 1.5 inch, to 2 inch

from your first point it sounds like you need a camber kit and an alignment

what is the bloody offset of the rims?? if the tires are hitting the uca then there is something wrong

I'd need more info to help answer this.
1) What size are the tires (the 3 numbers from the tire please) 2) what size are the wheels (Diameter, Width and offset please) 3) How low is your car? when you turn the wheel lock to lock do the tires touch anything? 4) Alignment specs as they are now (Camber, Toe and Caster angles of all 4 wheels) without that info the only advice I can give is keep your eyes open and don't hit anything .. but I suspect you have other issues. |
