My Tokico Illumina's suck

well so far, i had these on my car for about 3-4 weeks,
not bad, i like them, but i blew the left rear one already.

i figure it was nothing.. a faulty from Factory, i replaced the strut ( not installed yet ) in my house..... and yesterday when i got off school, my right rear strut starts making clunking noise... im like WTF... this is stoopid.......

so now i gotta tear out both rears and see why this is happening to me.....

my left rear strut, the adjustment **** doesnt even work... it just spins freely not adjusting anything...

my right one makes wierd *** noises....

this sucks.....

im going to look at it on saturday..

anyone have these clunking noises?????

peace.

blame the installer, not the parts

the one that won't adjust... did you drop it by accident on the adjustment ****

it might be how you installed them... when i did the first time my right rear shocks made a clunk noise whenever i'd hit a medium to large bump.. but i looked at it and the spring wasn't sitting properly... so the top hat would be resting on one side of the top bolts... then whenever i'd hit a bump the other side of the top hat would smack the top.... ah well problem solved now

punk thats the problem im having right now with the left rear...its like my rear springs arent tall enough and they're sooooo lose in the assembly until i guess the car sits on them....taking it all out again on thursday to cut the bumpstops anyways

Gotta a quick question... When I go over speed bumps, the rear shocks make a sound like something is in the trunk moving.... Only on speed bumps... On the road or highway I can't hear anything.

Nah nothing is in the trunk lol... Hmm so it's not normal that I should be hearing this? I don't know how to describe the sound but it's loud.....

well I woulndt say its "normal" but as long as it doens't sound like your suspension is about to fall off the car you should be ok...

when I did mine I have some squeeks and small weird sounds. Ive checked things over a couple times and everythings tight, and nothing is loose, springs are seated fine and everything.

Mine are set at 5 .. (out of 8) ... I think you are right regarding the stiffness... I'll try it around 2 tomorrow and see if that sound goes away.
