My stock suspension is dying
I need to replace my '98 Civic SI Stock susp. soon, the driver side is about 1/2 inch lower than the passenger side.
I'm looking into replacing my susp. but know nothing about modding a Honda.
Can you guy give me some advice ?
should i buy stock ? or should i drop the car?
how much damage to my wallet will this be?
Thanks.

this is actually normal for a civic, since the engine and driver sit on the same side of the car...they tend to sag that way abit, even when new...
First thing you should consider id your struts, make sure they are blowen first before wasteing any time or money, unless you just want to go straight into a performance setup, for that reason alone..performance improvement...
do a TCC search on blowen shocks/ or struts, lots of info should turn up..
if u conclude they are blowen you have a few options:
OEM
KYB
Tokico
Koni
Each brand has a highend/ adjustable and a lower end excelent quality non adjustable replacement(which is probably what ull end up with) price range 500-1000 for all four
Next is springs,
Coilovers or straight springs, TCC search will give endless reading on this... looking at 200-500 for all four

well, doing an upgrade never hurt anyone a nice handeling car is very fun... I would highly recomend a suspension, and brake upgrade before the motor... Rims are nice too, I did rims. then full OEM brakes, with a/m drilled rotors and pads upfront, then shocks/coilovers/strut bars/tiebars/swaybars, then full exhaust... now Im ready for more power... you dont have to do it that way, but it just seems logical to me...
