my civic runs hot..
today i was driving normally, around...
and all of a sudden i look down and my temp gauge is at H
so then i go home, and 2h later i come out to take my girlfriend home... i ran the heater on all the way to her house, everything seemed fine
then im coming back home, and my heater started to make noise
(its normal, gotta get it adjusted) so i shut it down and started it back up
then my temp gauge rised slowly back to H just as i did that.. and didnt even drop after i turned the heater back on...
i got the rad flushed about 400 km's ago, and now its acting up on me again...
anyone got ideas?

i really hope so
a lot of my sensors including thermostat seem to be off
unless the car is really fast ( which i doubt ) i think the speedometer is up like 10 clicks too
cause i drive normal, and it says im going like 60 in 40 zones (should be 50... ya im dangerous) and like 100 in 80 zones, etc.
i dunno, *shrug*.. mechanic only monday hopefully *sigh*

Try running your car idle for about 10 minutes (or however long it takes to get to normal operating temperature) and take a look under the hood. The fan should come on for a while and then turn off (if not the fan or switch is the problem). If the fan is fine, try touching the upper radiator hose (the one that runs from the radiator to the block). If the hose is warm (more hot than cold) then the thermostat is fine, if not get it replaced. Hope that this helps.

Make sure your radiator has anti-freeze.. it could be that the fluid is frozen and not allowing for proper cooling.
Also note that the fan usually doesn't spin up unless the engine's surpassing it's optimum (normal) operating temperature.
In weather like today.. -15 in the morning.. if you drive the car at highway speeds.. it doesn't need to spin up because there's enough air passing through the radiator to keep it cool. The fan is used for extra cooling. That's why even in the summer (unless your engine burns really hot), the fan turns on and off.. on and off.. on and off.

its got anti freeze for sure
because when we went to mr lube, they told us we had the wrong stuff in it (from previous owner) and that it wouldnt protect under 20 degrees celcius or something like that
so we flushed it and had it replaced with cold protection stuff
im gonna goto mechanic today and get the thing checked out
